KATHMANDU, MAY 17

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has honoured Raj Karki. Karki was honoured with the Young Entrepreneur Award at a ceremony held in the capital on Saturday. Karki was honoured to represent the tailoring industry in Nepal.

Raj Karki is a struggling yet inspiring young entrepreneur in Nepal's tailoring industry. He is advancing the traditional tailoring business in a modern way. Suit Mala, which he has been running in Bagbazar for the past seven years, is a contemporary, eco-friendly, and innovative brand.

Karki hopes to establish the tailoring sector not only as a clothing manufacturing industry, but also as an entrepreneurial school. "I believe that the tailoring industry has promoted values such as self-reliance, creativity, and leadership development, rather than profit," Karki said.

The Young Entrepreneurs Award was given in recognition of their unrivalled contribution to the development of an independent, self-sufficient, progressive, and prosperous economy by attracting investment and creating jobs in the country, according to organisers.

Karki and ten other entrepreneurs from various industries were recognised at the event. The award was given in recognition of their exceptional contribution to investment, entrepreneurship promotion, and job creation in the country.

The Central Education Department of the National Youth Association Nepal organised the programme.

According to Department Chief Kuber Adhikari, the award was given with the intention of providing more energy to the country's youth who are active in investment and entrepreneurial activities.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended his congratulations and best wishes to the honoured entrepreneurs. "People succeed because of their hard work and dedication," PM Oli stated. "Work and experience lead people to leadership."
