The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country today.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and at a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Light snowfall is expected at a few locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and mainly fair to partly cloudy elsewhere.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly areas and at isolated places in other regions. Light snowfall is also likely at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas.
According to the department, the current weather pattern is influenced by westerly and local winds, along with partial impact from moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
