This year's monsoon system has spread across the entire country as of today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon fully advanced across Nepal 23 days after its initial entry.

This year, the monsoon entered the country from the eastern region on May 29, initially affecting most parts of Koshi Province. By June 12, it had expanded to several areas of Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as parts of eastern Lumbini Province.

Meteorologist Pratima Manandhar stated that with the monsoon system now reaching Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces as of today, it has become active throughout the country.

"At present, monsoon winds are influencing parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and eastern Lumbini Provinces," she said. "There is also a partial influence of westerly and local winds in the western regions of the country, along with the effect of a low-pressure area formed over West Bengal, India."
