KATHMANDU, JULY 7
The bodies of four individuals brutally murdered in Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality-2, Dhodlekhani, have been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, for forensic examination, due to the lack of such facilities at the local hospital.
The victims-Manisa Giri (16), her father Bel Bahadur Giri (68), mother Manju Giri (45), and brother Sapan Giri (9)-were allegedly killed by Rajendra Rai (30), Manisa's husband, on Saturday night using a sharp weapon. The suspect is currently undergoing treatment in Dharan.
In light of the victims' family's financial hardship, the Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality collected and handed over Rs 114,871 to support the cost of transporting the bodies for post-mortem. The amount was presented to the family by rural municipality chair Tham Bahadur Rai.
