KATHMANDU, MAY 15

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that there are no differences between the major coalition partners-the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML)-regarding the functioning of the government.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in Rajbiraj, Saptari today, the Minister affirmed that the NC-UML alliance will not be discontinued. "On the contrary, it will be further strengthened," he said.

He further asserted that the country is moving towards political stability and good governance. "The incumbent government is continuing its efforts to revive the economy. The remaining tasks of the peace process are being finalised, while the enactment of laws and the strengthening of federalism remain top priorities," he added.
